This Privacy Policy describes how Lucid Typer ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our desktop application and website at lucidtyper.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes. We use Supabase for authentication and database services.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other financial information on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.

Usage Data: We track aggregate usage metrics including character counts, humanizer word counts, and feature usage. This data is used for enforcing usage limits and improving the Service.

Device Information: We collect a device fingerprint (a non-identifiable hash) to enforce per-device limits for free accounts. We do not collect hardware serial numbers, IP addresses, or precise location data.

3. Text Content

Typing Simulation: Text you paste into the typing engine is processed entirely on your local device. It is not transmitted to our servers.

AI Humanizer: When you use the AI Humanizer feature, your text is transmitted to our server and forwarded to a third-party text processing provider (Undetectable AI) for humanization. We do not store the content of your text after processing is complete. The third-party provider may have their own data retention policies — please refer to their privacy policy for details.

  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Authentication and database hosting
  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Undetectable AI — Text humanization processing
  • Vercel — Website hosting and analytics
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery

Each provider has their own privacy policy governing their handling of your data. We recommend reviewing their policies for complete information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Usage data is retained for billing and analytics purposes. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Cancel your subscription at any time

Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, aggregated page view tracking. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

11. International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
